Herb Pepper Beef Stroganoff

2 tablespoon butter
1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin bite-sized strips
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
8 oz fresh button mushrooms, halved
1/4 cup rich beef broth
1 1/2 tablespoon chili sauce
A couple of shakes of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
1/4 cup chive and onion cream cheese, softened
1 package egg noodles, cooked as directed

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium high heat and add the beef strips. Sprinkle with the garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Cook until brown, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook stirring frequently for a few minutes. Add the broth, chili sauce, Worcestershire and thyme. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and stir in the cream cheese until blended. Serve over the hot noodles.
